Who we are

KPLTC is the data controller for the information you provide on this site. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at membership@kpltc.ie.

What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Enquiries (contact & coaching forms): your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message.
• Membership applications: your name, email, phone, address, date of birth (for junior/student applications), the membership tier you choose and your consent. We also collect the name, email and phone of your two proposers, and — for applicants under 18 — a parent or guardian’s name and email.
• Newsletter sign-up: your email address, so we can add you to our club-news list.
• Technical: to prevent spam and abuse we store a one-way, salted hash of your IP address — not your actual IP address.

How we use your information

We use your information only to:

• respond to your enquiry;
• assess and administer membership applications, including contacting your proposers and, where relevant, a parent or guardian;
• send you club news if you have signed up for it;
• keep the website secure and prevent abuse.

Our legal basis

We rely on your consent (newsletter sign-up and submitting an application); our legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, running the club and keeping the site secure); and taking steps at your request before you enter into membership.

Who we share it with

Your information is seen by the club committee and the volunteers who handle membership and enquiries. When you proceed to join or pay, membership, court bookings and payments are handled through our membership platform, HelloClub, under its own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages only for as long as we need them to deal with your request. Membership records are kept for as long as you are a member and for a reasonable period afterwards for club administration and legal reasons. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need.

Cookies

This site uses only the minimal cookies needed for it to work, and no advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy.

Your rights

You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email membership@kpltc.ie. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
