Frequently asked questions
How do I become a member?
Ready to join? New membership applications are available on our website.
- Annual membership is €200 for adults, €60 for juniors and €320 for families — we do not offer one-off court usage.
- If you are an existing member of the Kilternan Church of Ireland parish or school, you only need one proposer, who should be an existing member of the club but must not be related to you.
- If not, you will require a proposer and seconder — to do this, come along to one of our social nights to meet existing members! Once you have their details, please complete the online application process.
- Please allow one week for confirmation and access to our booking platform upon receipt of payment, when you’ll be invited to Hello Club.
How do I book a court?
Courts are booked through the Hello Club member portal. Log in at kpltc.helloclub.com (or tap “Book a Court” on this site), choose an open slot on one of our three floodlit courts, and confirm. Members can book online any time.
Please note: no play before noon on Sundays due to Church Services.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes — once you’re a member, you can bring a guest along to play. It’s €5 per visit, and you can invite the same guest up to three times in a membership year, so they get a proper feel for the club before deciding to join themselves. Book the court through Hello Club and add your guest’s name to the booking. Your annual guest allowance depends on your tier — Senior 6 visits, Family 10, Junior/Student 2.
Do you run junior coaching?
As we’re a small club, junior coaching is on a private basis with one of our coaches listed on our “Meet the Coaches” page. We’re always adding new programmes, though — depending on demand and level, more will be added throughout the year.
How is the lighting fee charged?
Lighting fee is now included in the membership — no additional costs apply. To access the lights you’ll need the key; details of where to find it are included in the new members manual.
When are the social sessions?
Social nights run every Tuesday, 7:30–10:00pm (format depending on numbers). Members and non-members alike are welcome to come along for free — a relaxed way to try out the club and meet new people. The one exception is the first Tuesday of each month, our “Monthly Social,” which has a small €5 fee and includes refreshments provided by the committee.
Can courts be booked as a one-off?
No. Unfortunately, as we’re a small club, we can’t accommodate one-off bookings. Aside from our social nights and coaching, you must be a member to use the club. See our membership section for more details on the membership that would suit you best!
Is supervision provided for children looking to play on their own?
Outside of summer camps and private coaching, there is no on-site supervision for children. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
Do you participate in the DLTC Leagues?
Yes! We field teams across the DLTC leagues throughout the year, including Men’s, Ladies’, Mixed, Senior (O35s), Floodlight, Winter and Summer. If you’d like to play league tennis, reach out to our Men’s or Ladies’ captains at captains@kpltc.ie to register your interest.
